The world’s largest social network Facebook opens an engineering center in London that will create technical tools aimed at protecting its website from malicious content. The management of the social network announced this on Wednesday, June 12.
The company said in a statement that more than 500 new jobs will be created at the new center by the end of 2019, including 100 related to AI development.
A significant portion of the new hires will work in the Team Cohesion team, which will address a range of issues, including personal safety, spam and harassment.
One of the responsibilities of the new department will be to create cutting edge software and artificial intelligence systems to detect and eliminate malicious content and fake accounts.
